Current educational policy no longer links local Primary Schools as ‘feeder schools’ to a specific Secondary School. However, it is still true that some links between Primary Schools and local Secondary Schools are more established than others. This is the general meaning of the term ‘family of schools’, and Clarborough Primary School is one of 11 other local Primaries that have particularly close links to Retford Oaks Academy.

Ordsall Hall School opened as Ordsall Hall Secondary School in 1958, re-organised as Ordsall Hall Comprehensive School in 1979 and was absorbed (along with King Edward VI School) into Retford Oaks in 2003.

A significant number of young people from our community also study at Elizabethan Academy, Retford or Tuxford Academy.
